For travelers who love Elvis Presley and enjoy visiting his former home in Tennessee, a new hotel will open in October called The Guest House at Graceland.
According to the Associated Press, the Graceland Hotel guesthouse will be six stories high with 450 rooms, and it will be a short walk from Presley’s former home. Rates for the new hotel will range from $149 per night for basic rooms to $1,300 per night for the most expensive suite.
The Graceland guesthouse is set to open to the public on October 27.
“This luxury hotel is Graceland’s most significant upgrade since it opened in 1982. It’s huge…I think it’s so great for the fans, our guests and the tourists,” said Priscilla Presley in a press release. “It’s really beautiful, and it’s subtle, and it’s contemporary, and it’s classy. I think our guests will be very happy.
In total, the construction of the hotel will cost around $92 million and construction is still ongoing. The facility will include facilities such as a swimming pool, a 464-seat theater, a grand ballroom and four meeting rooms, all of which can be used for musical performances or corporate conferences.
As for the exterior of the Graceland Guest House, it will be decorated in the traditional styles of southern colonial homes, including columns, arches and a portico reminiscent of the Graceland Main House.
“If you’ve ever thought you wanted to hang out with Elvis and feel like one of his guests, this is your opportunity,” Elvis Presley Enterprises managing partner Joel Weinshanker said in a statement.
