Nominations open for the Oscars of the guest house and the B&B world

Entries are now open for the 2022 eviivo Awards, dubbed “the Oscars of the independent accommodation industry”. The annual ceremony honors the best hosts in the UK’s independent hospitality industry, and the virtual event is back for the first time since the start of the Covid pandemic.

The prestigious awards, now in their seventh year, highlight the best B&Bs, guesthouses, hotels, pubs and restaurants with rooms and other self-catering and self-catering accommodation the UK has to offer.

The eviivo Awards, taking place during International Host Week (March 21-25, 2022), are open to all independent hosts nationwide, with online entries open until March 3. rd March via the awards website.

Three categories showcase the best of the best, with a shortlist chosen before a select panel of independent judges. The winners will be announced by a celebrity guest during the virtual awards ceremony on the 24th and March at 7 p.m. GMT.

eviivo, the global hospitality software provider, invites guests, hoteliers, managers and staff to nominate their independent property in one of the following categories:

§ Outstanding Host – designed to recognize owners, managers and hosts who not only go the extra mile, but also exceed their guests’ expectations with extra special touches to ensure they have an unforgettable experience for all the right reasons

§ Unsung Hero – reward the employee, manager or owner who is key to the success of the property. This person is relied on to run the business and is the glue that holds everyone together

Each winner will receive £1,000 to invest in their property, with runners-up each winning £250.

Michele Fitzpatrick, CEO of eviivo, said, “We are delighted to once again host our annual awards night after a two-year absence due to the pandemic. COVID-19 has taken a toll on Independent Owners, but they’ve managed to come out the other side and fight back, and that’s something we should celebrate together.

“Independent hospitality businesses ply their trade with genuine passion and immense dedication, and they play a huge role in growing and stimulating tourism within their local communities.

“The eviivo awards are held to give these people a moment in the spotlight they truly deserve, and we are thrilled to be able to recognize all of their hard work.

All shortlisted individuals will receive a special plaque to mark the occasion and recognize the quality of service they provide. Additionally, they will be promoted on eviivo’s website and social media.

Following the success of the eviivo Awards in the UK, the event is now also being rolled out internationally in France, Germany and the USA, where eviivo has recently undergone considerable expansion.
