Les Hameaux Des Davids Viens Bed and Breakfast Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur

A number of hamlets have been transformed into luxury holiday homes in Vaucluse, south-eastern France. Part of the 16th century Domaine des Davids Les Hameaux des Davids is a 100-hectare estate in Viens, a medieval village between Avignon and Aix-en-Provence, and comprises eight holiday residences spread over four hamlets.

Ranging from three to six bedrooms, each combines old-world charm with contemporary luxury, typical Provençal-style interiors complemented by rough-beamed ceilings, terracotta tiles on the floor and wooden furniture.

The service is tailored to customer needs and includes catering, transportation, guides and excursions. Located in the middle of a biodynamic wine estate, tasting is also on the entertainment program.

The piece de resistance in terms of properties is Le Hameau de Treimars, a house that sleeps 24 people in 12 bedrooms (each with private bathroom), two swimming pools, a tennis and pétanque court, and gardens designed by the designer. landscape architect Jean-Noël Capart; The Hameaux des Davids cellar is the beating heart of this laid-back resort.

Designed by French architect Marc Barani, the Chai cellar is housed in wood-framed concrete, the same ocher hue as the earth, blending into the hillside like a huge boulder. With three floors, everything here is done by natural gravity; collect the juice upstairs so that less oxygen reaches the wine, which means less sulphite is needed and the aromas are better preserved.

A place where authenticity meets modern comfort with a respectful touch of contemporary design, Les Hameaux des Davids is an exemplary accommodation option for this historic village in France’s beautiful Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur.
