A Cleethorpes guesthouse has geared up for the tourist season ahead after a complete makeover which has breathed new life into one of our area’s best-known hotels.
The Vines on Isaac’s Hill is located in a cluster of popular resort guesthouses, but has recently undergone a makeover to bring it up to date and to meet modern requirements. All seven bedrooms and one studio have been renovated with new toilets, televisions and even new carpets.
The Vines Lodge on Clee Road has also had a facelift with its luxury apartments and jacuzzi. After being run by her parents for 20 years, new owner Ashleigh Hatton says it’s time to update the properties for the upcoming season.

She said: “My mum and dad have had the business for over 20 years and it’s been really successful but it needed a bit of a boost. My husband Dave and I came in to take over and come to complete the revamp of The Vines with upgraded bathrooms and bedrooms as well as updating our reservation system.
“The rooms have been modernized with new televisions, rugs and decorations throughout. We have tried to make the whole thing a little more glamorous. The project started in April last year and we are about to be completely finished. We will also be launching our reservation system on the new website soon.”
Although it is a big project, Ashleigh and her family are looking forward to running the guesthouse. She explained: “It’s full all the time and we’ve come from Middlesborough to get things going after my parents have done such a good job. Hopefully we can help reorganize Cleethorpes as a whole and provide a guest house with modern facilities and offering a warm and friendly face.
“We are excited about our new venture and proud to have modernized a place that was in desperate need of updating. We were actually inspired by our own home, wanting to bring a warm feel to the guesthouse. “
