  • The Hive Party Hostel Budapest

Budapest is famous for being one of the most historical, architectural and romantic destinations in all of Europe. Budapest is the capital and largest city of Hungary in Central Europe and is one of the main party destinations on the continent (it was once one of the two capitals of the great Austro-Hungarian Empire). Budapest is a great place to relax and is sometimes known as the spa capital of the world.

Historically, Budapest consisted of two separate cities called Buda and Pest. They are separated by the mighty Danube River. Most of the hostels and nightlife are on the Pest side, while most of the ancient architectural landmarks are on the Buda side. Most hostels are in Pest (pronounced “Pesht”) and all hostels listed here are in Pest.

The Hive Party Hostel Budapest

The Hive Party Hostel is a great option for those on a budget who just want a place to party. The hostel is located in the heart of the nightlife district of Budapest (Pest) and offers cheaper but basic accommodation. The hostel is designed for party people and has a rooftop terrace bar with another bar and restaurant (not affiliated) just below on the first floor.

The Hive Party Hostel offers a range of dorms and private rooms – although private room accommodation is fairly basic. There’s not a lot of common space to hang out with other travelers. Instead, the idea is that it’s a place to crash after partying after a night out on the town until it’s time to start drinking again the next day.

The hostel is a bigger hostel with about 300 beds (the third biggest in Budapest). As this is a party hostel, stays are normally limited to just 7 consecutive nights (although exceptions can be made).

If one is staying at The Hive Party Hostel, one does not need to plan their nightlife in Budapest – they will plan it for them. Their fun-loving staff will organize anything one could wish for – pub crawls, sightseeing tours, day SPA baths, night SPA parties, boat cruises and many more.

Avenue Hostel Budapest

The part of the building with the hostel has been completely modernized and is also located in the historic city center (but a bit further from the nightlife than The Hive Party Hostel and further from the river).

Avenue Hostel offers a selection of private rooms, dormitories and apartment-style accommodation. The dorms range from 4 bed dorms to 12 bed dorms.

They have an on-site bar and a great common area. This hostel is an excellent compromise between partying and relaxing. The hostel always offers a variety of pub crawls and other activities, but that’s not the hostel’s only focus. As they said “No curfew for those who like to party, and quiet hours for those who like to sleep”.

Unlike many other hostels in Budapest, breakfast is included.
