Somanya District Police Command is seeking information to investigate a murder case involving a 25-year-old woman.
The lady was found in a pool of blood in a guest room in Somanya Low Cost, Yilo Krobo Municipality, Eastern Region.
According to the police report, the victim and a man, named Charles Tetteh, booked accommodation at the Gameli Guest House on Monday at around 3:00 p.m.
At noon on Tuesday, when it was time for them to leave, the manager of the guesthouse visited the room they had reserved to find the lady in a pool of blood.
The case was reported to the police.
When the police entered the room, the victim’s body was lying upright sideways on the bed in a pool of blood.
Upon inspection, the police discovered that the deceased had been stabbed several times with a knife on the neck and chest.
The knife used to commit the crime was found by police in the guest room.
There was no sign of the man he was staying with.
A handbag believed to belong to the deceased was found on the chair.

The body was taken to the government hospital in Atua for storage and autopsy.
